Responsibilities

In this role, you will manage loads throughout the entire lifecycle, generate new business, and serve as a crucial liaison between our customers and freight carriers

You will collaborate with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining high standards of service

Secure new accounts while ensuring customer retention and satisfaction

Identify and establish relationships with reputable carriers for freight services

Negotiate competitive rates with carriers and provide accurate shipping quotes to customers

Dispatch and track active loads (TL / Truckload / LTL) across North America

Maintain daily communication with dispatchers and drivers to monitor load status and provide timely updates to customers

Proactively identify potential issues and implement effective solutions

Enter load data into our internal TMS system in real time as loads progress

Develop a robust sales pipeline using the company CRM application to attract new prospects

Collaborate cross-functionally to assist with customer billing and accounting responsibilities as needed

Conduct 100+ prospecting calls daily to drive new business opportunities

Performance Metrics: Your success will be measured through sales targets, customer retention rates, and overall contributions to team objectives

Training and Onboarding: Our comprehensive training program equips you with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the logistics industry, including hands-on support during your onboarding period

CURA will provide the resources and guidance necessary to successfully advance your sales growth

Technology and Tools: You will utilize advanced tools and technologies, including TMS and CRM systems, to effectively manage loads and track sales progress

Required Qualifications

Proven experience as a freight broker or in a similar sales role within the logistics industry

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to think creatively to solve problems

Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, autonomous environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Customer-centric approach with a strong sense of accountability

High attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively

Training duration will be customized based on the candidate's relevant prior experience

About the Role:

CURA is seeking experienced Freight Brokers to join our dynamic team as Freight Account Executives. In this role, you will manage loads throughout the entire lifecycle, generate new business, and serve as a crucial liaison between our customers and freight carriers. You will collaborate with shippers, carriers, and dispatchers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining high standards of service.

CURA offers industry-leading uncapped commission-based pay of up to 40%! While training pay starts at $50k and is flexible based on experience, our fully ramped Freight Brokers can earn six figures or more annually. This is a 100% commission-based role (post-training and ramp period) and requires in-office work in Tampa, FL. We do not review applicants outside of the Tampa Bay area, unless relocating.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a freight broker or in a similar sales role within the logistics industry.

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to think creatively to solve problems.

• Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Customer-centric approach with a strong sense of accountability.

• High attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively.
