Job Summary:

A new opportunity to join Sysco as a Delivery Driver is open. The successful candidate will be accountable for skillfully conducting their daily routes, loading and unloading packages, and providing outstanding customer service.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Efficiently executed routes that meet or exceed set times is crucial for successful deliveries.

• Carrying out the task of extracting products from trailers either by using bare hands or hand carts, then systematically positioning them in their respective customer assigned storage areas.

• The essential criteria for this role include the ability to frequently lift, push, or move products weighing between 1 to 75 pounds, while also being able to handle loads of up to 100 pounds.

• Validate the shipment of products with clients and collect correct markings, managing any discrepancies tactfully.

• Swiftly deal with customer concerns in a respectful and empathetic manner to minimize negative feedback.

• Proper handling and maintenance of company equipment, as well as compliance with Sysco policies and DOT regulations, require that pre-trip and post-trip inspections be conducted.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Acquiring a High School diploma or GED certificate validates your academic credentials and professional competency.

• Individuals applying for this position should have at least one year of experience in route delivery or equivalent experience driving straight trucks.

• Candidates must demonstrate strong customer service skills and be capable of solving problems with ease. They should also be able to drive under various weather conditions and possess basic arithmetic skills.
