Communicate with Owner Operators pick-up and delivery instructions
Ensure that daily workload is distributed evenly among Owner Operators
Make sure equipment is returned in a timely manner and to the correct location
Ensure that we operate in full accordance with the FMCSA Hours of Service Regulations
Communicates capacity fluctuations with sales team and recruiting team
Submit rail billing to the necessary parties for termination of loaded/empty containers
Input Independent contractor payment data accurately and timely
Relay service-related issues to customers to keep informed of possible delays/issues with service
Order completion review - ensure orders are accurately updated in the system throughout the day & closed out for billing
Keep Sales team and Regional Manager updated on capacity needs
Communicate with potential customers to secure new business to provide growth for the terminal
Keep service defects to a minimum
Onboarding new drivers’ owner-and provide driver training and orientations
Other duties as assigned by Manager
The Dispatcher will be responsible for ensuring that our company complies with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) rules and regulations, along with assisting with driver recruiting and driver onboarding
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation (Drayage/Trucking)
Can work in a fast paced, multi directional environment
Have the ability and willingness to communicate with drivers and customers
Flexible availability and willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends, as dictated by business needs
Minimum of 1 year of experience dispatching truck drivers (transportation industry)
Knowledge in Intermodal and truckload arena
Must be able to work independently and have good time management skills
Must be able work within operating systems (TMS)
Must demonstrate the ability to provide excellent customer service and be a driver advocate
Must have dependable transportation, and the ability to travel occasionally
This position is responsible for managing drivers to ensure timely, accurate and efficient service to WWRTC customers
Requires strong problem-solving skills, leadership, mentoring abilities, multi-tasking and superior communications ability
Also, must have knowledge of Hours of Service (ELD) to manage the metrics related to monitoring driver logs and hours to optimize capacity for the fleet

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Dispatcher to join our Savannah, GA terminal. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation (Drayage/Trucking).
